Welcome to Celtic Motel, located in Foxton, on a naturally sunny, rich coast of the North Island of New Zealand, between the Tararua Ranges and the Tasman Sea.

Foxton is also the gateway to the beautiful Nature Coast, which is made up of Kapiti and Horowhenua and boasts a coastline which stretches from Paekakariki in the south to Foxton in the north.

Your hosts, Paul and Lesley are two people who are passionate about hospitality and can always be counted on to extend a warm and friendly welcome. One thing they strongly recommend is that you don’t just stop in the Nature Coast for one night, as there are endless opportunities to experience the outdoors, which include an extensive network of walkways and cycleways through picturesque coastal, lake, river and forest environments.

For those of a hardier constitution, the immense Tararua Forest Park offers some of the most beautiful and challenging tramping experiences in the country.  There are also boundless opportunities to see some of the world’s rarest wildlife, including the Takehe and the Tuatara.

For those with a more quiet time in mind, Nature Coast abounds with museums, art galleries and places of cultural and intellectual interest.
